Fact:
The British tradition of wearing hats to most formal occasions is often credited to Queen Elizabeth I. In 1571, during her rule, a law was created that mandated that anyone over the age of seven must wear a hat on Sundays. While the law is long gone, there are some events that still seem to have an unofficial hat dress code, including horse races, garden parties and weddings.

Finally!
My ring has arrived!
I initially wanted the white, but after calling every YSL…sold out. Apparently, the white ring is from their Spring/Summer 2011 collection and they are not sure if it will be re-released again.
The YSL in Houston was where the ring was initially purchased. Not only did they send me the wrong one, but their customer service was horrible! Being one of my favorite...

Decisions, decisions...
Lapis Lazuli was not meant to be, unfortunately. Since YSL sent me the wrong color, it must only mean one thing…I get to choose another!
Stuck between these two now…
The white is understated in a good way, yet feminine and glamorous. Coral however, is a nice pop of color that isn’t too loud.
Going to sleep on it and make my decision tomorrow.

Oui.
I’ve adored this Dior creation ever since I set eyes on it. This particular ring is a part of their Oui Collection and I love the message it carries. ‘Oui’ is the promise between lovers, a commitment and such a romantic way to say ‘yes’. I find it amazing that the most simple things can hold the greatest meanings.

Fact:
Designer Karl Lagerfeld was almost the victim of a kidnapping that was part of an elaborate group called RAF or Red Army Faction, which was a German gang. Throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s they terrorized Germany with kidnappings, bank robberies, and murders. Their plans were to kidnap Karl Lagerfeld for ransom and use the money to buy cars and weapons.
